Radar level gauge accuracy matters:
1. The amount of reflected wave energy received depends on the reflection characteristics of the measured medium. The reflectivity depends on the conductivity and dielectric constant of the measured medium. The dielectric constant is low, the liquid signal with low conductivity is weak, and the signal is attenuated. Severe, therefore, when measuring the liquid level of the radar level gauge, it must consider the power level of the electromagnetic wave signal source.
2. The fluctuation of the liquid level of the measured medium or the scattering of the foam will cause the signal to weaken, so it is necessary to increase the power of the signal source or add a waveguide.
3. When there is an obstacle in the tank of the measured medium, a false signal will be generated, which will affect the normal operation of the radar level gauge. For this reason, a powerful microprocessor is used for complex signal processing. At the same time, avoid obstacles in the tank during installation.
4. The correct installation method will also affect the measurement accuracy of the instrument. The radar level gauge should be installed so that the electromagnetic wave emitted by the antenna is perpendicular to the liquid level of the measured medium, and the antenna should receive the liquid surface reflected wave as much as possible.
5. When the top of the tank is not measured, considering the influence of the measured medium on the corrosion and adhesion of the antenna, the liquid level should be kept at a distance from the antenna when measuring the top of the tank. When measuring the liquid level at the bottom of the tank, the emitted wave may penetrate the liquid level at the bottom of the tank and hit the bottom of the tank, so that the reflected wave is the interference wave. Alternatively, when the bottom of the tank is concave or conical, the radar level gauge cannot measure when the liquid level is below this point. Therefore, in signal processing, pay attention to the selection of the upper and lower thresholds.
6. Different antenna shapes should be selected for different working conditions. At the same time, in order to avoid interference caused by the tank wall and the interference inside the tank, a waveguide can be used to avoid interference with the echo.
