Throttle valve installation and debugging method

Before the throttle valve is installed, the throttle valve should be disassembled, cleaned, assembled, and inspected for damage. If there is any damage, it is necessary to repair and grind the sealing surface. Turn the handwheel and there must be no jamming. Disassembly and installation, the factory will not disassemble according to the factory, the site will not disintegrate, directly installed, if it is not disassembled, the valve will not be installed and put into operation for more than six months.

Before the throttle valve is installed, the pipe should be flushed to prevent the debris in the pipe from damaging the sealing surface and causing the valve to leak.

Valves are normally installed vertically or horizontally.

The valve shall be installed on the pipe in accordance with the flow direction arrows shown on the valve body.

When the set screw is assembled, it must be aligned with the valve body groove and tightened to prevent the valve cover from loosening.

The upper and lower layers of the valve packing are corrugated packing, and the middle is a flexible graphite packing. Before putting into operation, tighten the nut of the joint bolt at the packing gland to avoid serious leakage of the packing during operation, such as the stuffing box found during operation. If there is bubbling or slight leakage, tighten the nut of the joint bolt at the packing gland again until it does not leak.

When the valve is dismantled during shutdown maintenance, the sealing surface of the valve must be inspected, re-grinded, replaced with packing and gasket, and reassembled and commissioned.

When the valve is connected to the pipeline, it should be strictly in accordance with the “Electric Construction Regulations” or the welding specifications and welding procedures provided by the manufacturer.
