Thermo Fisher Scientific is the technical partner of this “Precision Medical Planâ€. The first phase of the project will use Ion PGM, the genetic sequencing platform of Life Technologies, a subsidiary of Thermo Fisher Scientific, which is currently in operation. The project invested $3 million.
Sylvia Varela, president of Pfizer's Cancer Division in Latin America, said in a statement that Pfizer's first phase of the Center for Precision Medicine Program (CEPM) focused on lung cancer research, which is currently 1800 in Chile each year.
