At present, China's soybean planting area has greatly shrunk. The impact on China's soybeans is American soybeans. More precisely, it is the United States' genetically modified technology. The GM soybean in the United States is indeed "affordable," and its high output value and high oil output make Chinese-made soybeans less competitive. Although the issue of genetic modification is quite controversial, but in the absence of a conclusive case, no amount of criticism is difficult to stop the US soybean "high cost" offensive.

In the United States, so-called "economic" soybeans, China's soybeans are so "uneconomic" competition, China's soybeans quickly withdrew from the game, and thus gave up the market. China has become the largest importer of soybean from a net exporter five years ago. More than 60% of market demand depends on imported raw materials or directly imported edible crude oil.

While exporting products, international grain producers will naturally not forget the output of capital. Statistics show that international grain companies have equity or control in 64 of China's 97 large-scale oil companies, accounting for 66% of the total. At present, more than 75% of the raw materials, processing, and edible oil supply in China's oils and fats markets are controlled by the four major international grain companies “ABCD”, namely ADM (Archer Daniels Midland), Bunge, Cargill, and Louis Dover. (LouisDreyfus). The strength of these international predators is no less than the world's top 500 people are always talking about, but they have always refused to go public. Under such hidden conditions, it is difficult for the world to snoop into their tentacles.

Today, these international predators have already completed the absolute control over upstream raw materials, futures, midstream production, processing, and downstream brands and channels. In theory, this is indeed the result of a market economy. However, such results are not a happy result. Just like the other automobile industry in China, it is even far behind the automotive industry.

In the 12th Five-Year Plan for Agriculture released in September, it was proposed that during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the self-sufficiency rate of edible vegetable oil should be over 40%. Under "Strive for Action," the goal of self-sufficiency is only 40%. It can be seen that regaining lost ground is easier said than done.

The market economy of the edible oil industry lost the market and lost its pricing power when we obtained the economy. The final outcome is very likely that one day, the economy will become uneconomical, and the market will become a "killing ground."
